Gastropub chef Craig Minto opens third venture after acquiring The Fleece in Addingham

Gastropub chef Craig Minto has re-opened former Punch Taverns pub The Fleece in Addingham, West Yorkshire as a pub, deli and cook school.

The 90-cover pub and restaurant, which re-opened at the weekend following refurbishment, increases Minto's estate to three and will be operated under his company CM Hospitality Management.

Minto, who owns The Gray Ox Inn in Huddersfield and The Sun Inn, just outside Edinburgh, has a team of chefs to run the kitchen, which will serve 'Yorkshire food done proper'. Dishes such as steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding will also be available to buy from the pub's adjoining deli.

Minto said: "We are delighted to be taking over the helm at The Fleece and hope this will be our most successful venture yet. We are bringing in a fantastically talented and hardworking team so I am really confident that we’ll continue and build on The Fleece’s success.”

Minto trained at the Devonshire Arms in Bolton Abbey before working at The Farsyde restaurant in Ilkley. As well as the three pubs, he also owns a VW camper hire company called Scooby Campers.
