Priscilla’s Fabulous Finale Afternoon Tea
With the award-winning musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert coming to a close at the Palace theatre this month, Soho restaurant and champagne bar Kettner’s is hosting a farewell party for guests. Priscilla’s Fabulas Finale Afternoon Tea will run at Kettner’s restaurant between 27 and 30 December to mark the last week of the show. The afternoon tea includes homemade sandwiches, ‘Hot Stuff’ cupcakes, and a ‘Three Divas’ trio of mini éclairs. Available from 1pm until 6pm, the cost of Kettner’s afternoon tea is £15.00 per person; for £22.00 Kettner’s will throw in a ‘Bernadette’s Bellini’.
Sherlock Scones
Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes hotel has launched a specially themed afternoon tea to mark the release of the new film Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. ‘Sherlock Scones’ comes complete with a magnifying glass, clue sheet, jam and cream. With the film released 16 December, the Sherlock Scones will be offered by Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes hotel theroughout December and January, priced at £6.95 per person. In September of this year, the hotel held a Murder Mystery Weekend to increase its homage to Arthur Conan-Doyle’s famous fictional detective. Swedish Nights
Kumo, the newly-opened Japanese sushi and cocktail bar, has launched a weekly Swedish Night taking place every Thursday. Swedish Night will include complimentary Swedish Kopperberg Cider for all and authentic Swedish gifts for those purchasing drinks including free shots of schnapps. Dishes such as herring with potatoes will feature on their usually Japanese menu. The night is hosted by Okänd, a Swedish club scene. Entry to Swedish night is free. Recently opened Japanese sushi and cocktail bar, Kumo is set in the heart of Knightsbridge on the iconic Beauchamp Place.
Pamper Me loyalty card
The Chester Grosvenor has upgraded its Pamper Me loyalty cards as part of the hotels expansion plan. The Grosvenor Spa is planning to expand its offer of the loyalty card to a further 400 customers, bringing its total reach to 1000. Cardholders earn treatment time for every REN, Elemis or Darphin treatment they book, or product they buy, worth more than £35. The Pamper Me scheme also rewards regular customers with invitations to exclusive events, members-only offers and updates on new products. Sarah Kelthy, assistant spa manager, said: “This is a lovely way to give something back to our spa customers and has proved really popular since we launched it two years ago. What we’re planning to do now is to grow and expand the Pamper Me loyalty card so that more and more of our customers can enjoy its rewards."
