The three hotels and restaurants - Greywalls Hotel and Chez Roux in Muirfield; Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island in Argyll and Restaurant Andrew Fairlie in Auchterarder - were among the 45 new members joining the guide for its 2012 edition.
Fairlie, whose restaurant within Gleneagles has two Michelin stars, was also named a Grand Chef by the association, which aims to 'set the standard for excellence in hospitality'.
The Scottish chef is one of 19 chefs from around the globe to receive the accolade and he becomes one of 10 chefs based in the UK to be named Grand Chef, joining Heston Blumenthal, Helen Darroze, Martin Burge, Michael Caines, Michel Roux Jr, Michel Roux, Albert Roux, Raymond Blanc and Gary Jones.
