The Wolseley owners to open Covent Garden restaurant
The Delaunay, situated on the corner of The Aldwych and Drury Lane, will be based on the traditional European style 'grand cafe', opening for breakfast from 7am weekdays right through until midnight.
Much in the same manner as The Wolseley, the 150-cover venue will serve breakfast, snacks, coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, and a full a la carte menu with a short wine list derived entirely from Europe. It will also offer a takeaway service which will have its own entrance and offer local delivery.
The kitchen will be overseen by group executive chef Marc Benzimra and The Wolseley head chef Lee Ward, with former Scott’s general manager Sebastian Fogg running front-of-house.
As well as a restaurant, Rex Restaurants Associates' owners Chris Corbin and Jeremy King are planning to open a hotel in a former garage in Mayfair in 2013.
The Art Deco-style building is set to be transformed into a 75-bedroom hotel with restaurant, bar and small spa.
The Delaunay is looking to recruit chefs de partie. For more information or to apply click here or visit our jobs website www.jobs.bighospitality.co.uk.
