The mobile site, which has been in development for two years and has undergone 'rigorous testing', is designed to make ordering a range of products, from tea and coffee to tableware and refrigerators, much more convenient for chefs, restaurateurs, publicans and hoteliers while on the move or away from a PC.
"It's genuinely easy to use - this was our most important criteria as there is absolutely no point in engaging customers through mobile technology if it is not an enjoyable and rewarding experience for the user," said its inventor Mike Hardman.
"There will be immediate high comfort factor for our regular customers as well as familiar markers that are easily identifiable from other mobile sites for new users. Even better, there is absolutely no additional cost beyond that which you would expect when browsing a website generally."
To access the mobile version, customers should visit allianceonline.co.uk on their smartphones where they will be automatically be redirected to the mobile site.
Products can be viewed and chosen before being added to a shopping basket. For Alliance customers who do not want to pay for items through their phone, there is the option to save a basket of items on your phone, then load them from within the account on the desktop website and complete the process as normal.
