Vivek Singh to open third Indian restaurant in London

A spokesperson for Singh said definite plans were currently being drawn up for the new 75-cover venue which is yet to be named, but could confirm it would be a modern Indian restaurant 'very much in the same vein as Cinnamon Kitchen' with a slightly lower spend-per-head.
"Like Cinnamon Kitchen, it will be modern and relaxed, which will suit Soho's style, rather than in the more formal style of The Cinnamon Club in Westminster," she said.
The restaurant will offer an a la carte menu at lunch and dinner, have a strong pre and post theatre offer as well as a late night supper menu of tasting plates plus an all day breakfast menu. A set lunch menu will also be available at £15 for 2 courses and £18 for 3 courses.
Singh said: "We are delighted to have secured a West End site and are very excited about opening a restaurant with the same ethos of innovation and creativity that drives our other restaurants but in a more accessible and affordable format.”
Leisure agent Shelley Sandzer assigned the 35-year lease for the 2,500 sq ft two-storey site to Singh who was represented through agents at Christie & Co.
The premises has a 1am alcohol licence and occupies the same street as a number of other restaurants and bars such as Cha Cha Moon and Wright Brothers.
A pioneer of modern Indian cuisine, Singh, executive chef and chief executive of The Cinnamon Club and Cinnamon Kitchen, first came to the capital in 2001 with the opening of The Cinnamon Club in Westminster. He went on to launch Cinnamon Kitchen and it's bar Anise near Liverpool Street in 2008.
