The Savoy GM announced as keynote speaker at AHC 2011
MacDonald, who oversaw the refurbishment of The Savoy when it closed its doors to the public in December 2007, will share the highs and lows of the renovation programme and provide an insight into his experience of running the luxury London hotel, which re-opened last year.
Now in its eighth year, the conference at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on 8 November, will bring together hoteliers from across the UK with delegates already set to attend from a number of independent hotels, including Focus Hotels, Legacy Hotels & Resorts and Umi Hotels.

The programme of topics to be discussed at the event include sustainability, by looking at the pros and cons of 'green practices'; how to make the most of your hotel restaurant; finance, the use of third party channel websites and social media.
