Radisson Edwardian Manchester put up for sale
The 263-bedroom hotel is set in the heart of Manchester and was Radisson Edwardian’s first luxury hotel outside of London. The offering comes with a long-term management contract in place with Radisson Edwardian Group.
Martin Davis, director and location manager, Manchester office at Christie + Co said: “We are delighted to have been given the instruction to market this iconic and historic Manchester property. With its unique history, fantastic central Manchester location and its luxurious facilities, the Radisson Edwardian represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the city’s finest hotels, located directly opposite the Manchester Central.”
Located on the site of Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall, the hotel provides luxury accommodation and guest services, including health and leisure facilities, whilst delivering a selection of conference, function and meeting facilities for clients.
Luxury facilities
Four luxury penthouse suites overlook the city of Manchester while 18 unique al-fresco suites, each with its own entertaining area and urban garden, also feature.
There are also dining and entertainment options, with two restaurant/bars. Meanwhile, the health and leisure facilities include beauty and relaxation treatments along with gym equipment and an indoor swimming pool.
“We expect there to be significant interest from a variety of local and national investors,” added Davis. “Radisson Edwardian continues to manage this profitable and robust business and there will be no disruption to guest services or staff as a result of the sales process.”
Just two months ago, the four-star Radisson Edwardian hotel in Canary Wharf was put up for sale for £37.5m by property consultants CBRE Hotels on behalf of the Ballymore Group.
