The search engine giants will be joined at the seminar programme by experts from Giraffe, Groupon, Peach, Action Against Hunger, the British Hospitality Association (BHA), BigHospitality and Restaurant magazine to offer commercial advice to visitors and share advice and tips on effective marketing and social media, successful recruitment tactics and online restaurant trends.
David Miller of Livebookings, the sponsor of the Bootcamp series, said the schedule was one that restaurateurs ‘can’t afford to miss’.
“The schedule covers a variety of topics such as marketing on the move, recruitment, eating out trends, daily deals and many more fascinating areas.”
In addition to the seminars, William Drew, editor of Restaurant magazine, will be holding a series of Bootcamp interviews over the three days with well-known industry figures, who will offer their expertise on industry issues. Guests include Fred Sirieix, general manager at Galvin at Windows, who will talk about the art of service, and Lars Peder Hedberg, journalist and restaurant critic, who will discuss the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Global Trend Survey.
Business advice
New to the show this year, Business Bootcamp aims to help restaurateurs address the ever-increasing commercial and competitive pressures facing the dining out market, including the rising price of food and drink and the imminent Olympic Games, by helping them realise ‘a first-class dining experience and commercial operation – one that encourages customer loyalty and does not compromise on quality, professionalism, staff moral or profits’.
Rachel Quigley, event director of The Restaurant Show 2011, said visitors could benefit from an ‘outstanding line up of commercial nous, experience and knowledge’.
She added: “Having direct access to individuals of the calibre working with us throughout the Business Bootcamp programme is something everyone with a commercial interest in the foodservice and dining sector should make the most of.”
The Restaurant Show will be held at Earls Court 2 from 10-12 October 2011. Click here for more information.
