Radisson Edwardian to launch two restaurants in new Guildford hotel

Radisson Edwardian will launch its latest four-star hotel in Guildford next month, complete with two restaurants and a ‘destination bar’.

Due to launch on 29 September, the £60m, 185-bedroom Radisson Edwardian Guildford will feature a Rabih Hage-designed all-day Mediterranean barbecue café named Market Kitchen & Bar, and an all-day brasserie entitled Relish.

Accessible from the street, Market Kitchen & Bar will be Radisson Edwardian Guildford’s signature restaurant, serving a range of dishes predominantly cooked by what is thought to be the town’s first Josper grill. The majority of dishes served at the restaurant will be designed for sharing.

A range of bar snacks and cocktails using southern European ingredients will be available at the 120-cover Market Kitchen bar, including an eclectic wine list.

The restaurant will also feature alfresco dining on its terrace.

Radisson Edwardian Guildford’s second restaurant Relish will serve traditional British dishes ‘with a contemporary twist’ for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dishes including Welsh Rarebit, Fish Cakes, Shepherd’s Pie and Pot Roast. The menu will largely feature items sourced in the local Surrey area.

The hotel will also include a spa, gym, swimming pool and conference facilities for up to 400 delegates.

Radisson Edwardian also operates an additional 13 hotels (12 in London, one in Manchester), including the independently-branded May Fair Hotel in Mayfair, London.
