YO! Sushi to launch third airport restaurant at Stansted

YO! Sushi is to launch its third airport restaurant at the end of this month with a 59-cover, centrally-located venue at London Stansted.

Situated within the departure lounge at the north London airport, the 1200sqft YO! Sushi will provide the majority of its seating around its trademark conveyor belt, with an additional 14 booth seats.

The site features three ‘To-Go’ fridges to meet the increased demand for takeaway at the UK's third busiest airport, which handles 18.8 million passengers a year.

Robin Rowland, chief executive of YO! Sushi said: “Continuing on our mission to provide fun, fast and fresh Japanese food served from a cutting edge restaurant design, we hope to follow in the footsteps of our other airport sites in Edinburgh and Heathrow Terminal 3, building on the excellent reputation already generated within this sector.

“The ultra-competitive market for quality airport dining outlets is fiercer than ever before, a factor we both relish and respect as we prepare to cater to the palates of the travelling public passing through London Stansted.”

YO! Sushi London Stansted will operate from 4.30am until the last flight of the day (between 9.30pm and 10pm) Monday to Sunday.

Zoe Farmer, Stansted’s Head of In‐terminal retail, said: "This exciting new addition to Stansted’s retail offer compliments perfectly our existing mix of good quality catering outlets. I'd like to wish YO! Sushi every success with their new site, which I’m sure will prove very popular with all our passengers.”

YO! Sushi currently has around 55 restaurants in the UK, as well as a further 11 abroad in Ireland, Portugal, Dubai, Bahrain and Kuwait.
