The 281-bedroom Hilton London Southbank is set to open next year, while the 278-bedroom Hampton by Hilton will open in 2013.
The new openings will bring Hilton’s total number of hotels open or under development in the capital up to 29, with 8,800 rooms. Other recent openings include London Syon Park, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Doubletree by Hilton London West End. Further properties are also set to open by the end of next year in Wembley, Croydon and Heathrow airport.
Hilton’s president of global brands, Paul Brown, said the new openings come during a "new era” for the group as it looks to grow its portfolio of brands in London, including DoubleTree by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton.
Hilton London Southbank
The new Hilton London Southbank will be situated next to NEO Bankside, London’s second biggest development site.
Owned by The Splendid Hotel Group and managed by Hilton Worldwide, the property will include a restaurant, bar and coffee shop, as well as a fitness centre and 1,030 sq.m. of meeting space. The hotel’s 281 guest rooms include 31 suites.
With views over the Tate Modern and the Blue Fin Building, the hotel also includes a four level glass atrium at its entrance. Its design includes a combination of high- and low-rise buildings, with layering of glass, bronzed metal and brick.
Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo
With 278 rooms, the new Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo will be one of the brand’s biggest hotels outside the US, and also marks the first Hampton property in central London.
Signed as a franchise agreement with Shiva Hotels, the hotel will follow the Hampton brand guidelines that are applied in the label’s 1,800 hotels worldwide, including the Clean and Fresh Hampton Bed, free internet access and a 100 per cent satisfaction guarantee.
London success

"South Bank itself has witnessed a renaissance over recent years, including the opening of Hilton London Tower Bridge which is now one of our top performing hotels, with a wealth of arts and entertainment in the area and close proximity to the West End."
