Orchid chef joins Maggi Guest Chef campaign

Nestle Professional’s Maggi brand has unveiled Orchid Group senior development chef Brendan Corder as pubs expert for its new Guest Chef campaign.

Designed to aid chefs and caterers by sharing practical advice from chefs across the industry, the campaign so far features just one other guest chef from the education sector, Suzanne Duncan from North Ayrshire Council.

Corder, who oversees the menu development at over 300 pubs in the Orchid Group, will provide new recipes and support to those working in the pub sector.

“There is nothing more rewarding or exciting about seeing a dish you have developed being put into print on a menu, or better yet, seeing a customer enjoy your dish,” he said. “That’s what is so great about this sector - you can literally see your successes. But that doesn’t mean it is always easy and that’s why I wanted to get involved with the MAGGI® ‘Guest Chef’ campaign. We need as an industry to find ways to share information and knowledge and support each other.”

Nikki Adamo, head of Category Marketing at Nestlé Professional, added: “This campaign means that by providing a direct line from Brendan to the industry, pub chefs get really valuable first hand advice, which isn’t always readily available. Pub chefs work really hard and often long hours, so we are trying to find ways to make life easier, sharing best practice and opening up communications to support this passionate group of creative individuals.”
