The fine dining Indian restaurant, which offers a “homely, pan-Indian menu”, first opened in Swiss Cottage in 2002.
It is now expanding into a 3,155sq ft site in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, secured by Davis Coffer Lyons on behalf of LRG and InterContinental Hotels Group.
“Indian cuisine has dominated the market now for some time and there is a lot of competition for large sites like this one,” said Alice Keown of Davis Coffer Lyons.
“ERIKI has a very unique offering which has become a well-respected and much-loved operator in North West London, and it is a great time for them to expand into this market.”
Eriki, which has a bright Rajasthani design, serves a range of regional Indian cuisines.
Design
The restaurant’s main entrance will be adjacent to the hotel lobby. The site will contain a central island Johnnie Walker Black label bar, and will also include a private dining room for 35-40 guests screened off with bi-folding doors.
Design features will include curved back leather banquettes and a Laurent Perrier Champagne feature. It will also include Nouveau Jali Tub chairs, fabrics and tones, as well as pendant and multi-bulb light arrangements.
Sat Lally, founder of ERIKI, said: “It is fantastic that ERIKI’s reputation as a neighbourhood favourite has led to its expansion in such a dominant international environment. There is a glut of new Indian operators competing in an increasingly popular market, so it is great to be successful and we will look forward to drawing on our experiences to create something very special for the Crowne Plaza”.
Other offers in the 463-bedroom Crowne Plaza are Orwell’s Brasserie and Bar and O’Driscolls Irish Pub.
