DoubleTree by Hilton opens in London’s West End

DoubleTree by Hilton has unveiled the latest UK addition to its brand, with the completion this month of its London West End site.

Formerly the Bonnington Hotel and latterly the Park Inn London, Russell Square, the 214-bedroom hotel has just completed a multi-phase renovation project to become DoubleTree by Hilton London-West End.

Located in London’s Bloomsbury district, the hotel is operated by Southampton Row Hotel, under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide and managed by Crimson Hotel Group.

London tourism

Aly Kassam, director of the Crimson Hotel Group said: "I am delighted to announce the rebranding of our iconic Russell Square property to the DoubleTree by Hilton London-West End.

“We are very excited to work with DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide on this project and we believe there has never been a better time to invest in hotels in London as we believe the tourism industry in the capital is set to improve further.”

DoubleTree hotels

The DoubleTree by Hilton brand targets both business and leisure travellers, positioning its hotels as upscale, full-service, “luxurious yet affordable” establishments.

Since its European introduction in 2008, there are now 18 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels now open in eight countries across Europe. The new London West End site is the eighth DoubleTree by Hilton property in the UK.

The new site has retained its Edwardian façade. It includes 12 ‘flexible’ conference rooms, a board room, a 24-hour fully equipped business centre and a fitness centre.

Other features include a 248sqm ballroom that can seat 200 guests, the Bar 92 and the Level Restaurant.

Rooms and suites are equipped with “pampering bath amenities”, “generous work surfaces”, LCD TVs, wireless high-speed internet access and the brand's signature Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree bedding.
