Film Club at The May Fair, and live music for Getti

Restaurants, pubs and hotels, including the May Fair Hotel and Getti, tell us what promotions they’re running to attract customers.

Film Club

The May Fair Hotel has launched a new season of its monthly Film Club, where for £25 per person, guests can enjoy a late Sunday lunch followed by a popular movie in its 201-seater onsite screening room. The new season begins on 23 January with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, while Leon, Casino, A Clockwork Orange and Kick Ass also appear on the schedule for 2011.

Live Music

Metropolitan Restaurant’s Getti on Marylebone Lane has launched a monthly live music evening in its basement, 70-cover vaulted dining area. Featuring musicians such as Nicola Emmanuelle and Anthony Strong, Getti’s live music evenings occur on the final Friday of each month, for a £10 entry fee. The restaurant has also launched a new menu of Dolcetti, or small desserts, featuring dishes such as Panna Cotta Ai Fruitti Di Bosco and Crème Caramel for just £2.50 each.

Happy New Year

Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho is celebrating Tet, the Vietnamese New Year, on 3 February with a daily prize giveaway in which one winner will receive 10 million Dong (£320). Those consumers submitting their details on Pho’s website will be in with a chance of winning one of nine red envelopes, the contents of which are believed to be lucky in Vietnam.

Name change

Sevendials Restaurant in Brighton has undergone a rebranding and refurbishment to bring it in line with owner Sam Metcalfe’s second Sussex venue Sam’s of Brighton in Kemp Town. Now named Sam’s of Sevendials, the restaurant will serve a seasonal menu of British fare, and as part of the relaunch, will offer a 2-for-1 Main Course offer until 11 February.
