New Year’s Fireworks
The Sky London Bar is offering New Year’s revellers the perfect spot to watch the London fireworks this 31 December. Set atop the Millbank Tower, the Sky Bar will give guests one of the best views around. For £125 they can enjoy a bowl food buffet, featuring dishes such as Dry Aged Charolais Beef Fillet Topped with Parmentier Potatoes, plus enjoy a glass of Champagne as the Big Ben bell chimes midnight.
Travelodge sale
Travelodge will be hosting its biggest ever room sale on 29 December, in which one million rooms will be available for between £9-£25, for stay dates between 1 January – 29 December 2011. The offer will be available at over 450 Travelodge hotels across the UK and Spain. The group hopes to emulate the performance seen in the past during sales period, when 28 bookings are made per second.
Wii Sports Challenge
Wii Sports will be available in Qhotels boardrooms throughout January, as the chain joins forces with Asthma UK to encourage delegates to stay healthy. Qhotels will set a challenge to all delegates, in which the best Wii Sports performer at each hotel over the course of the competition will win their own Wii. The chain is asking users to donate £1 per go to Asthma UK, which hopes to raise £100,000 over two years.
Pre-dinner massages
Oriental restaurants Awana and Mango Tree will be offering Christmas-weary guests the chance to detox and relax in January. Upon arrival, diners will be treated to a pre-dinner massage from the founder of Chi Yu wellness centre in Marylebone. They will then be able to choose from a special detox menu featuring numerous exotic yet healthy and light dishes.
