X Factor takeaway at Pizza Express, and Tea Parties at Drunken Monkey

Restaurants, hotels and pubs including Pizza Express and the Drunken Monkey, tell us what promotions they’re running to lure in customers.

Saturday night X Factor takeaway

Taking advantage of the nation’s likely desire to stay in this Saturday night and watch the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing live finals on TV, Pizza Express has marketed (via email newsletter) a takeaway offer to ensure its weekend revenue doesn’t slip. Stay-at-home diners can order four pizzas for £20 tomorrow night.

Drunken Monkey Tea Party

The Drunken Monkey in Shoreditch is launching a Tea Party Menu featuring a selection of 12 teas and matching homemade organic cakes including jasmine-infused cupcakes, spiced star anise cupcakes and lemon and ginger mini drizzle cakes. Those looking for something a bit heartier can take advantage of the new Tea Party cocktails, devised by barman Cristian Cuevas.

Twelve Drinks of Christmas

Hilton Hotels has launched a new range of Christmas cocktails to see in the New Year in style. The Twelve Drinks of Christmas promotion, which takes inspiration from the traditional festive song, will be available at 16 Hilton Hotels throughout December. Prices start from £9.50.

Chinese sale

In a bid to stave off the expected January lull, Royal China will be offering diners 25 per cent off their food bill from 4-28 January 2011. The offer will be available in the group’s five restaurants in Baker Street, Bayswater, Fulham, Canary Wharf and Harrow-on-the-Hill. The offer, however, does not include the Royal China Club.
