The Connaught and May Fair Hotel appointments

Nathalie Seiler-Hayez replaces Anthony Lee as general manager at The Connaught Hotel, as he moves on to The May Fair Hotel

The Maybourne Hotel Group has appointed a new general manager to oversee The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair.

Nathalie Seiler-Hayez joins the five-star hotel from the Regent Grand Hotel in Bordeaux, where she also held the position of general manager.

She brings with her experience working in a number of sales, marketing and operations roles in hotels in Paris and New York, and is a graduate of L’Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland.

Stephen Alden, chief executive of Maybourne Hotel Group said: “In her role as general manager, Nathalie will continue to build on The Connaught’s positioning as one of the world’s finest hotels with a tradition for delivering highly personalised and intuitive service.”

The May Fair Hotel

Having been at The Connaught for the past 30 years, former general manager Anthony Lee has now moved onto the May Fair Hotel.

Taking over the role from Charles Oak, Lee will now guide the May Fair Hotel back to its roots as a “film star playground” through its conncetions with the British Fashion Council, British Film Institute and Raindance Film Festival.

“This… iconic hotel (has) connections throughout its life to the entertainment industry; film, fashion, music and art,” said Lee. “These roots have become our DNA and are inherent to our day-to-day life at the May Fair.”
