Three Regent Inn sites to be sold

Three more former Regent Inns sites are coming onto the market, a year after the operator went into administration

Property agent Christie & Co, acting on behalf of administrators BDO LLP, is marketing the leasehold interests of the three sites located in Devon, Staffordshire and Hertfordshire.

Christie & Co is currently calling for offers for the properties on an individual or group basis.

Available sites

The site in Devon is an Old Orleans branch situated in a leisure park in Plymouth.  Other facilities found in the leisure park include a Vue cinema and a bowling arcade unit.

The Staffordshire site is the Australian-themed Walkabout bar, located in Hanley’s main drinking circuit, next to a Chicago Rock unit.

The third property is a Stone House in Hertford, Hertfordshire.  This is said to be a “stylish, funky” bar in the town centre, and includes a dance floor area on an upper floor.

Regent Inns

Regent Inns, which also owned the Jongleurs brand, was forced into administration last year after seeing sales fall over several years.  The operator has since sold off a number of its locations and de-listed from the stock market in order to restructure in private and focus on prime sites within its core estate.

The new company, Intertain, retained 60 sites run by Regent’s previous management.

Earlier this year, Christie & Co re-let the former Bar Risa/Jongleurs in Nottingham, to Comic Enterprises and the former Bar Risa/Jongleurs in Oxford to Cavendish Bars, also both on behalf of BDO LLP.
