Time Out London has announced the shortlisted restaurants and bars in its annual Eating & Drinking Awards 2010.
Now in its 21st year, the awards are designed to recognise the best of the capital's newest places to eat and drink.
Time Out Judges anonymously visited the 'best new openings' of the past year, sorting each into one of nine categories, such as Best New Local Restaurant, Best New Gastropub, and, a new category this year, Best New Cup of Coffee.
Last year's winner of the Best New Restaurant award was Giaconda Dining Rooms, while other winners included the David Collins-designed Bob Bob Ricard for Best New Design, and Mike Robinson’s Harwood Arms for Best New Gastropub.
Amongst those shortlisted for this year's Best New Restaurant award are Bistro Bruno Loubet at the Zetter, and Daniel Boulud's Bar Boulud at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which will be joined by Heston Blumenthal's Dinner concept on 1 December.
Time Out is expected to announce the full list in September.
