Jun Tanaka and Mark Jankel launch mobile Street Kitchen
Serving a seasonal British menu from their New York-style van, Tanaka and Jankel will start their tour of London in Covent Garden on the first day of the festival, which runs from 4-18 October.
The pair will only use produce sourced directly from sustainable and organic UK farms and producers for their menu, which will feature dishes such as Home Smoked Salmon and Braised Featherblade of Beef.
Dr. Daniel Lopez Dias, ecological economist, has been enlisted by the duo to help them consider the environmental impact of their initiative.
They will visit two other landmark locations in the city before finishing their run at the closing ceremony of the festival in Old Spitalfields Market on 18 October.
