Restaurants, hotels and pubs, including Harvey Nichols and those at Westfield London tell us about the extra activities they're planning to make their businesses more appealing.
Meet the producers
Throughout September, Harvey Nichols chefs across the country will take diners to local farms and fisheries for a back-to-basics lunch, in celebration of their local suppliers. The one off event, Handpicked by Harvey Nichols, will see diners meet the producers and learn about where the food on Harvey Nichols’ menus comes from. Those dining in London’s OXO Tower will be heading to Sevenoaks, Kent, those at Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor in Edinburgh will go to Loch Fyne, Second Floor Manchester to Fleetwood Fish Market, and Fourth Floor Leeds to Swillington Organic Farm in West Yorkshire.
Kids Eat Free
Restaurants at Westfield London are giving weary parents a break from finding activities to keep kids entertained throughout the summer holidays, by offering a number of ‘Kids Eat Free’ vouchers. A number of restaurants at the shopping centre, including Del’Aziz, Fire & Stone, Kitchen Italia and Tiffinbites, will be accepting the vouchers. Westfield will also be running a six-week Summer Campaign filled with kids’ events, fun clubs and entertainment activities.
Help a London Child
Gourmet Burger Kitchen has teamed up once more with charity Help a London Child and Capital FM to relaunch its fundraising campaign ‘Quids In’. Diners holding a valid voucher can buy one main course or salad and get a second for £1. GBK will then donate that £1 to the cause that supports grass roots projects for London’s less-advantaged children.
Girls day out
The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is inviting ladies to join them for a Sip, Spa and Shop package for £199.50. Including Champagne and strawberries, a spa treatment and overnight stay in a twin bedroom with breakfast, the package is designed to give two friends a girls getaway. The package is available all week and can be bought as a gift voucher.
