Moshi Moshi puts flagship site up for sale

Moshi Moshi, Britain’s first sushi conveyor belt operator has put its flagship London restaurant Soseki up for sale.​

The site, which lies at the foot of the City of London’s Gherkin building, is being marketed by property specialist Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL).

Jonathan Moradoff, who is handling the disposal at DCL, said: “This site is a fantastic opportunity for an operator who would like to debut or strengthen their representation in the City. The site is located right in the heart of the square mile with views of the Gherkin and benefits from City workers’ trade throughout the day.”

Since its opening in 2008, Soseki’s has served a menu inspired by the Japanese version of haute cuisine, with chefs creating dishes according to the ingredients available that day.

Owner Caroline Bennett​

Founder of the group Caroline Bennett sold the Brighton Moshi Moshi last year, but remains the operator of two further sites in London's Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf.

Moradoff said: “Caroline has built up a very strong name in the industry and created an award-winning brand, we’re delighted to handle this disposal for her so she can pursue other interests.”
