Hilton Worldwide has announced an agreement with The Ability Group to open London Syon Park, the latest additon to the group's luxury brand of hotels, Waldorf Astoria.
The 137-bedroom hotel, which is due to open in November 2010, will share grounds with the Duke of Northumberland’s family home Syon House in Brentford, Middlesex.
John Vanderslice, global head of luxury and lifestyle brands at Hilton Worldwide, said: “Guests can expect a truly luxurious experience with the highest level of service and comfort in exceptional surroundings.”
London Syon Park is the second Waldorf Astoria to open in the UK, after Hilton took over the five-star Bentley Hotel in London in 2009.
Facilities and features
The hotel will offer a park view terrace, restaurants and bars, conference facilities and 1,000 square meters of meeting and events space.
Other features include a butterfly house in the lobby, ice cream parlour, swimming pool, full sensory spa experience and discreet treatments from celebrity surgeon Alex Karidis.
Syon House
The development of the hotel will also see the restoration of a number of important historic features in the park, as well as the Duke of Northumberland’s family home.
The Duke said: “I am very pleased that a Waldorf Astoria hotel will be opening in Syon Park, which has been my family’s home for over 400 years. The future additional revenue will also enable restoration work to Syon House itself, which contains arguably one of Robert Adams’ finest interiors,”
