Madalene Bonvini-Hamel and Ross Pike have taken over the Cherry Tree pub in Bromeswell near Woodbridge, Suffolk, where they aim to create a ‘modern British’ food offering in a relaxed, family friendly environment.

Emphasis will be placed on high quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers, with the revamped pub to be renamed British Larder Suffolk when it reopens at the end of the month.

The new landlords aim to complete a full refurbishment, including extension of the 50-cover dining area, in early 2011.

Bonvini-Hamel said: “The area has so much to offer, not least fantastic local suppliers offering superb food from land and sea. We are looking forward to showcasing some of their excellent products.”
