Hotel group Thistle has appointed De Vere's Simon Farr operations director for the London region.
In his new role Farr will be responsible for a team of 10 general managers, an HR manager and a finance manager working at Thistle's hotels across the capital and for establishing the group as the 'number one choice for business and leisure guests in London'.
He said: "It’s an exciting time to be joining Thistle. We’re currently investing over £100 million in refurbishing our hotels. I’ll be working to ensure that we match this investment with our continued commitment to honest pricing and customer care, delivered with warmth and personality."
Legacy's Three Swans Hotel
Legacy Hotels and Resorts has also appointed a new manager to its Berkshire hotel the Three Swans.
Stephen Ball, who has spent the past five years managing the Walnut Tree Hotel in West Camel, Somerset, will be responsible for running the 25-bedroom three-star hotel in Hungerford, acquired by Legacy in September last year.
He said: “There is already a great team in place at the Three Swans and Legacy has some really exciting plans for the hotel which I’m looking forward to playing a major part in.”
Legacy currently operates 13 hotels in the UK and is associated with eight in the UK and Europe.
