Park Plaza Westminster Bridge has boosted its senior managerial team by appointing human resources and commercial directors more than six months before the 1,021 room hotel plans to open.
Sarah Hegarty, previously head of training and development at Guoman Hotels has taken up the role of HR director at the London hotel and will be responsible for appointing staff and training ahead of the hotel’s opening early next year.
Hotel general manager Andrew Swindells said: “Sarah’s extensive HR and training background means that she is the ideal candidate to help build the hotel’s reputation for offering superior levels of customer service.”
Hegarty’s appointment is ahead of that of Daniel Coupe as commercial director.
Coupe joins from the Hilton Group where he was director of business development and in his new role will be responsible for driving room sales, particularly in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics.
