Raymond Blanc, Atul Kochhar and Michel Roux Jr are among the chefs who have signed up to support Action Against Hunger's annual fundraising campaign Fight Hunger. Eat Out this October.

The chefs and the restaurants they work in will be supporting the month-long fundraising campaign to fight child hunger in a number of ways such as adding a donation to customers' bills or donating profits from a particular dish.

Chefs from across the UK are being encouraged to support the campaign by giving diners the option of ordering a designated dish on the menu with a percentage going to Action Against Hunger, making a discretionary donation on their bill or organising a special fundraising event to mark World Food Day which falls on October 16.

Giorgio Locatelli of Locanda Locatelli said: “My grandmother always used to tell me that I had to finish all the food on my plate because there were thousands of children going hungry every night around the world. Sadly, she was right! More than one billion people are still going hungry but Fight Hunger. Eat Out offers everyone the chance to do something about this.”
