BigHospitality rounds up the offers, promotions and other special events currently running at a host of restaurants
Oyster Hour
Searcys 1847 is offering complimentary oysters with a glass of Champagne or white wine between 5pm and 7pm at St Pancras Grand in London. Dubbed Oyster Hour, executive chef Billy Reid has searched far and wide for a unparalleled selection of molluscs from around the UK. Garnishes are available, or you can just go au natural. Keep on shucking.
Back 10 years
In response to the prospect of deflation, London`s Queen Street-based Indian restaurant Tamarind is slashing prices back to those of ten years ago. Executive chef Alfred Prasad’s two course lunch will cost £14.50 and three courses will cost £18.50, or £5 and £6 cheaper than 2009 prices. The modern Indian food is derivative of Moghul cuisine.
Glo for cocktails
Glo Restaurants is giving customers the chance to create their own cocktails using sake and Japanese vodka at its three sites in and near London. They’ll choose from Glo’s selection of signature cocktails and follow the mixologists step by step to create Asian inspired drinks. The Sake-Rita (sake, Cointreau and lime juice) is shaken and served in a salted martini glass.
Sparkling lunch
Indian seafood specialist Trishna is offering diners a three-course Saturday lunch menu accompanied by unlimited Prosecco for a bargain £29.50 a head. Guests get to pick three dishes off Ravi Deulkar’s new spring menu, served with bread, rice and three types of the sparkling wine. The offer applies for a maximum party size of six diners.
