Staff at South Lodge Hotel in West Sussex will be waiting on the world`s financial leaders this weekend as the venue plays host to the G20 meeting.
The recently revamped hotel, home of The Pass restaurant, (pictured) heard in January that it had been chosen as the venue for the weekend summit where 20 financial leaders will meet to discuss the state of the world`s economy.
General manager Rupert Spurgeon told the West Sussex County Times the hotel`s staff had been busy preparing for the event for the past two months.
He told the newspaper: "This is an incredibly exciting time for us all. I know the team will rise to the occasion.
"Twelve months ago we would never have taken this business but in that time this hotel has doubled in size and we are fully prepared to deal with anything the challenge throws at us."
Lewis Hamblet, head chef of the hotel`s The Camellia Restaurant has been put in charge of catering for delegates at the two-day meeting and, together with his team, will produce 3,000 meals for them, their staff, security workers and members of the media.
The main reception room within the 89-bedroom hotel has been converted into a conference centre and a media centre has been set up within the grounds to house the world`s media.
