Hotel and conference venue owner Principal Hayley has taken over the management of The Oakley Court (pictured) in Windsor from Heuston Hospitality.
The move brings the number of hotels and conference venues in Principal Hayley`s UK and European portfolio to 22.
Peter Stephenson, managing director of Heuston Hospitality, said the company had committed to turn the business round in two years to prepare it for a major brand to take over.
He said: "We see Principal Hayley`s strength in the conference and leisure market as the best fit to take us forward."
Oakley Court - a 113-bedroom Victorian mansion hotel with a restaurant, meeting and leisure areas, will be Principal Hayley`s second Windsor property. It also owns Beaumont House, a conference and training venue in Old Windsor.
Tony Troy, chief executive of Principal Hayley, said: "The Oakley Court is a perfect fit for us, and we are delighted to be adding it to the collection. We pride ourselves on offering an ‘a la carte` selection of dedicated conference venues and key-located hotels. The Oakley Court will complement our hotel portfolio perfectly to provide another high quality leisure venue in Windsor.
"Both properties sit hand-in-hand with each other, and are an asset to the local community in a key leisure and conference destination. We look forward to the venues working in conjunction with each other to provide extensive leisure and business facilities to Windsor and surrounding areas."
The owners of Oakley Court were advised of the sale by Christie & Co.
