Make-up artist makes up menu
David Duverger, the Papillon head chef who auctioned his services on ebay last Christmas to raise money for Children With Leukaemia, has allowed model and make-up artist Jemma Kidd (pictured) to devise a special menu for the Chelsea-based restaurant during London Fashion Week. Anyone choosing Kidd’s £25 three-course menu from February 20 to 25 will receive a Jemma Kidd makeup school goodie bag and £5 of the bill will automatically be donated to Children With Leukaemia.
Pancake Day
Ed`s Easy Diner has partnered up with The Kindness Offensive - a charitable organisation that carries out random acts of kindness – and will give out free pancakes between 8am and 1pm from its Trocadero branch on Shrove Tuesday.
Shop `Til You Drop
Funky West London hotel and spa K-West is taking advantage of its close proximity to new shopping mall Westfield and running a ‘Shop ‘Til you Drop’ package. For £109 (£176 less than the normal rack rate) each guest gets an overnight stay in a deluxe bedroom, breakfast, a ‘shopping booster non-alcoholic cocktail, a manicure, a glass of Champagne and unlimited use of K Spa’s facilities. The promotion, which started in October, is expected to run for another six months due to its popularity.
The Italian Revolution
Vodka bar chain Revolution is giving away a free Margherita pizza to customers at its branches every day between 3pm and 5pm as long as they meet certain criteria. Pregnant women can benefit from the deal on Mondays, Italians on Tuesdays, members of university societies on Wednesdays, Italian car owners on Thursdays and Vespa owners on Fridays. On Saturdays anyone with a branded Italian shopping receipt of £40 or more can take advantage of the deal while members of sports teams just need to show their dirty kit or team cards on a Sunday.
