Italian liqueur brand Disaronno has launched a Valentine`s promotion in the on-trade as part of a £5m investment to grow the brand and sales.
The Devotion or Desire promotion will run throughout February and March and includes sampling in selected bars in Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester where branded Fiat 500 cars will be driving around to promote the spirit.
Disaronno has created special promotional kits which are available to the on-trade for the promotional period. They include a box of Italian Baci chocolates and an entry card to win a trip to Venice or Champneys spa days to be given to every customer buying two serves of Disaronno.
Mark Collins, brand manager for Disaronno at First Drinks Brands said: "Disaronno grew by 23 per cent last year in the on-trade which is well ahead of the market. Growth is being driven through long-term demand building strategies, such as the Devotion or Desire campaign, as opposed to price promotions."
