Glasgow’s Parkville Hotel undergoes £650k revamp
The Parkville Hotel in Blantyre, Glasgow is to undergo an extensive £650k refurbishment as it creates a new 100-seater restaurant and events space.
The hotel, owned by Lisini Pub Co. who took over the ownership in March 2008, is being redesigned by 2007 bar refurbishment of the year winner Dunn’s and is scheduled for completion in February in time for the property’s 50th anniversary.
Michael Dunn, managing director of Dunn’s, said: “We’re delighted to help play a part in taking The Parkville forward with an extension to the building and the creation of a 100-seater eatery, giving locals and Lanarkshire’s business community alike a fantastic place to eat and enhancing its offering as a venue for weddings and other functions.
“This project is the perfect example of how experienced licensed trade operators are investing to beat the credit crunch. Astute operators are seeking to raise the returns they receive from outlets by repositioning existing units and adding new facilities and revenue streams, such as the new eatery at The Parkville.”
Other properties in the Lisini portfolio include The Angels Hotel and The Castle Rooms in Uddingston, and The Croft in Croftfoot.
