Claudio Pulze’s latest venture – Italian restaurant Osteria Dell’Angolo – will open in Westminster later today.
The restaurateur’s 60-seat restaurant includes a lounge bar serving a special bar menu and a private dining room situated in the cellar. Diners will be able to watch chefs at work from the dining room through a window looking onto the kitchen.
With Tuscan head chef Michele Brogi at the kitchen’s helm, the menu will focus on simple, rustic Italian dishes with some inspired by Brogi’s parent’s kitchen such as Ribollita and Salsicce e fagioli rifatti (pork sausage and stewed beans).
He said: “We have tried to create a menu that appeals to everyone, so we have built it in three parts; the rustic menu, inspired by my mother and father, the set lunch menu, aimed at busier customers and the seasonal a la carte menu, which is a combination of traditional Tuscan food, classic Italian dishes and some more creative dishes – inspired by my 22 years experience of Italian cooking.”
The restaurant will be overseen by general manager Salvatore Broccu and will open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday.
