The awards, now in their fifteenth year, saw budget hotel chain Etap win Best Fully Integrated Marketing Campaign while Hilton built on its success by winning Best Leisure Marketing Activity for the second year running for their Tutankhamun Exhibition Partnership campaign.
Best Innovation in Marketing went to Intercontinental Hotels Group for an interactive customer campaign for Holiday Inn and the Best Marketing Activity on a Small Budget, award went to De Vere Venues for their Cinema Promotion.
Pamela Carvell, chairman of the HMA said she was impressed by the standards of marketing in the current economic climate.
“As budgets become increasingly squeezed it’s good to see some very innovative marketing out there," she said.
Donna Skuse, marketing manager of 47 Park Street, in London’s Mayfair (pictured above) was named Young Marketer of the Year, at the ceremony at London’s Millennium Mayfair Hotel on Monday.
The award, now in its third year, is given to individuals under 30 who have made a significant contribution to the success of their company.
Whitbread`s budget hotel chain Premier Inn was also honoured at the awards being voted most improved brand by the BDRC British hotel guest survey for the third year running.
BDRC`s survey gives business and leisure guests the opportunity to express their views on everything from advertising and marketing, through to loyalty programmes and technology.
