Hilton Hotels Corporation launches its first Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Scotland as part of expansion plans for the brand across Europe

Hilton Hotels Corporation has launched its first Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Scotland as part of expansion plans for the brand across Europe.

The re-branding of the 168-room hotel in Aberdeen follows that of the first UK Doubletree in Cambridge and will be run by the Patio Hotel Group under a franchise agreement with Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Hilton plans to double the number of hotels in Scotland under three Hilton brands – Doubletree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton – over the next five years from 11 to 22 and aims to open 20 Doubletree hotels in the UK and Ireland over the next 10 years.

Dave Horton, Senior Vice President Brand Management for Doubletree Hotels said: "This fantastic hotel opening in Scotland represents the rapid expansion of the Doubletree by Hilton brand across the UK and Europe

“Along with our great hotel in Cambridge and this new opening in Aberdeen, Doubletree by Hilton locations also are anticipated to open in Milan and London within the coming weeks to reinforce a fast-growing European development pipeline and complement our current collection of fine hotels and resorts around the world."

The Aberdeen Doubletree by Hilton includes two fine dining restaurants, a gym and spa.
