Win six months` supply of Alveston Kitchens desserts.
Heinz Foodservice is breathing new life into its range by adding dessert specialist Alveston Kitchens to its impressive portfolio. The move means that Heinz Foodservice is now able to provide the trade with a range of quality products through a ‘one stop shop’.
Finding a single point of contact for trusted, quality products is not an easy task, and the brand’s delicious selection is perfect for caterers looking to put more thought into their desserts range, sweeten profits and give their rivals a slice of real competition.
Integration of the brand also means extra support, with the launch of a high-profile campaign to raise awareness of the frozen desserts range. Alveston Kitchens celebrates its 40th birthday this year, and there will be a focus on the anniversary, plus calendar highlights such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
Growing the brand also forms part of Heinz Foodservice’s long-term strategy to provide consumer-driven innovation in line with current and future market trends. Heinz Foodservice can now offer the trade the luxury of a ‘one stop shop’ for an even wider selection of quality products, while identifying areas where customers might be missing an opportunity for incremental profit.
Research shows that although people might not be eating out as much these days, when they do they like to indulge, with almost half the UK admitting they like to treat themselves to a dessert out of home too. The issue at present is that customers often feel dessert menus lack variety, while caterers also admit that in their desire to serve up overall quality, desserts can sometimes tend to be treated as an afterthought.
Alveston Kitchens not only offers a 49-strong range of delicious frozen desserts made with quality ingredients, including Cheesecakes, Meringues, Cakes and Specialities, it also delivers:
- Heritage and expertise in market-relevant, high-quality products
- Traditional popular choices - consumer favourites that sell
- Hand finished presentation - for a premium look and feel
- High quality ingredients
- Speciality meringue capabilities - texture of finished products good as freshly made
"Desserts as a segment sit in a frozen category worth 18 per cent of a £2.9bn frozen food industry," says Emily Frank, Brand Manager of Heinz Foodservice.
"However, half of consumers who look at a dessert menu out of home choose not to have one, partly because of the limited choice in comparison to starters and mains.
"in an industry that is competing for the leisure pound caterers should consider breadth of choice in their dessert menus, to make consumers struggle with their decision because all the desserts sound too delicious."
