Gordon Ramsay Holdings’ latest venture, Murano by Angela Hartnett, will be serving its first guests next week in the heart of Mayfair.
Hartnett has worked alongside head chef Diego Cardoso to create a strong Italian menu that reflects her family’s roots. Dishes from braised beef cheek agnolotti to langoustine and shrimp risotto will appear on the Al a Carte menu, while a set lunch and tasting menu will also be available.
Murano’s pastel cream pearl and grey themed dining room will seat up to 46 covers, and a specially raised private dining area for 10 will offer fortunate guests the chance to experience the true Murano buzz with a direct view into the kitchen area. The restaurant will be run and overseen by Restaurant Manager Jose Garcia.
Hartnett’s Executive Chef duties won’t stop at Murano however, with the opening of her joint venture with Gordon Ramsay, the York and Albany scheduled for September 22.
The former coach house and pub in Camden will be transformed into a bar, restaurant, delicatessen and meeting and events space with 10 luxury bedrooms and suites. The large 1820s building is being restored to its former glory to offer guests a choice of two dining rooms in which to sample head chef Colin Buchan’s seasonal and uncomplicated menus.
Braised Pollack with preserved lemons and courgettes and Gloucester Old Spot pork loin stuffed with apricots and couscous are a couple of the dishes available in either the domed-roof restaurant or open kitchen. A wide selection of preserves, meats, cheeses and tapas will be on sale in the adjoining delicatessen, as well as hampers with specifically chosen wines to complement the chosen food.
The 10 luxury guest bedrooms overlooking Regent`s Park will be decorated with period antiques, and offering a ‘townhouse home from home’ experience.
Murano by Angela Hartnett will open on August 21, with the York and Albany due to open on September 22.
