The lease for London nightclub and restaurant Number One Leicester Square has been sold to Interguide London for £1m.

The lease for London nightclub and restaurant Number One Leicester Square has been sold to Interguide London for £1m.

The company, a subsidiary of Interguide Investment Holdings has bought the venue – now known as Vertigo – as a going concern and is planning to expand the 7th floor restaurant`s menu and re-introduce a VIP members club.

Christie & Co put the lease up for sale after they were appointed by administrators Baker Tilly.

Mark Wilson, Partner at Baker Tilly, said: “To sell the business as a going concern is a very satisfying outcome. We are pleased to have worked on this prestigious venue and wish the new owners every possible success.”

The venue, situated on the top three floors of the building in Leicester Square, was previously known as The Penthouse before becoming Number One Leicester Square in 2006.
