Wizzy Korean restaurant, which opened in London SW6 to great acclaim in spring 2005, has closed, with the site up for lease.

Its owner was Hwi Shim, who had previously worked at Hakkasan and Nobu.

Harding Chartered Surveyors said it had closed about six months ago; the site still has its A3 licence and would be ideal for another restaurant. Rental is £35,000 per annum with a premium of £25,000.

Critics had raved about it and Fay Maschler described it in the Evening Standard as "Korean cooking made easily accessible and immediately lovable". However, restaurant blogs (such as London-eating.co.uk) towards the end of Wizzy's time indicated that poor service detracted from the food.
