Restaurants and travel: better together

Overview

OpenTable recently conducted its quarterly diner survey, asking restaurant-goers how they felt about travel, how their dining habits are changing, as well as their take on paying deposits for reservations.

Travel is back in full swing this year, with more than half of holidaymakers taking three to four trips during the summer. Of those asked, 58% said they’ll enjoy their holiday by eating out every night while away.

And when it comes to deposits, more than 70% of diners are happy to pay up to £50 to secure their spot at a fine-dining restaurant, whether on holiday or at home.
