Instagram-friendly cafe group EL&N is bringing a new concept to London this summer.

The EL&N Deli & Bakery will open in Covent Garden’s heritage-listed Market Building in July. It will represent a new arm of the brand built around EL&N’s core menu of brunch classics but with the introduction of a new range of freshly prepared, artisanal bakery products, including fresh focaccias and a range of sweet and savoury pastries.

The 650sq ft venue will have space for 14 diners inside as well as 54 al fresco covers on Covent Garden’s pedestrianised Piazza.

"Covent Garden is an iconic London destination that EL&N has always wanted to expand into, so introducing our brand-new concept there was a natural evolution for us," says Alexandra Miller, founder at EL&N London.

"The neighbourhood has a unique character that we wanted to ensure we connected with, and the creation of our first-ever sub-brand, EL&N Deli & Bakery, has been designed to align with this, engaging with both the destination’s rich heritage and pioneering roster of innovative, flagship concepts from world-class brands.”

EL&N Deli & Bakery will be joined by a third outpost for British-owned matcha bar JENKI, which is opening at 50A Long Acre this summer. Covent Garden has also recently welcomed two other new F&B concepts - Empanada Circle and Aguamiel. Empanada Circle, located at 3 New Row, is a 23-covers venue that offers a grab-and-go menu of the traditional Argentinian empanadas while Aguamiel serves Mexican churros from London’s first churreria at 24 Wellington Street.

Greek boutique hotel brand Ergon House will open in Covent Garden next year.

EL&N launched in 2017 and now operates more than 35 locations across the world.
